Our Church

St. Philip’s is an active church blessed with a wide ranging and enthusiastic congregation drawn from the parish and beyond.

It serves as a centre for worship, as well as community and church activities throughout the year.

St Philip’s celebrated its 160th year during 2023 and it is testament to its enduring role within the community that it remains a popular and well supported church.

Our Congregation

St. Philip’s is an active church blessed with a wide ranging and enthusiastic congregation drawn from the parish and beyond.

Many people in the congregation enjoy participating in different aspects of our worship and other activities. Our average weekly congregations are around 60 and comprise of a wide spectrum from young families to elderly members of the parish.

Lots of people minister here, including our vicar, wardens and PCC (church council), a non-stipendiary minister, a very talented organist, expert flower arrangers, coffee team, Sunday School helpers, the cleaning team...there are lots of ways to get involved!

Parish In Vacancy

St Philip's is a 'parish in vacancy'. We are grateful for the support of local clergy in the Reigate deanery who are presiding for us over the coming months and to everyone at the Southwark Diocese who is guiding us through the vacancy period and in the recruitment of a new vicar.
