Rain did not spoil the fun at our Gift Day celebrations on Sunday 7th July!

We enjoyed indoor games, lots of good cakes, strawberries n’ cream and a ‘pick a card’ tombola. A huge thank you to everyone involved and for your gifts which reached £900!!

On 21st July, our Sunday School children created ‘Kindness Flowers’ to represent the compassion that Jesus taught us to show one another. Sunday school will not take place during the school summer holidays but activity sheets on clipboards will be provided as usual.

At First Steps on Friday 12th July, we enjoyed making bunting, bouncing balloons and eating snacks as we acted-out the parable of the Grand Banquet. Some of the children will now be attending school full-time so we sent them on their way with cards and applause!

Save the Date! Our new Vicar, Revd. Lindsay Meader will be ‘collated’ by the Bishop of Southwark on Sunday 8th September at 5pm. The service will be followed by a reception in the hall. We are all invited to join in this joyful occasion. More details to follow.

STOP PRESS – we are looking for a new bookings manager for the church hall – please ask for more information if this might be you!

Thank you for reading! We hope you can enjoy a relaxing summer!
