Conditions of Hiring St. Philips Church Hall

The agreed Fee payable as set out on the Booking Request From shall be paid on booking the room(s) unless otherwise agreed with the Hall Lettings Manager (No cheques are cashed until after the event).
In all cases, a deposit against damage (Conditions 6-10) of £50 shall be paid on booking to the Hall Lettings Manager.
The Hirer may cancel a booking up to one calendar month before the event and any sum already paid shall be refunded. The Hirer shall be responsible for paying the whole fee if the booking is cancelled less than one calendar month before the event.
The Hirer shall leave all furniture and fittings exactly as found.
The Hirer shall be responsible for all damage done to the interior of the Church Hall, including the windows, or to the furniture and fittings, during the period of the hire. The Hirer will be notified on behalf of the Parochial Church Council within seven days of any damage for which the Hirer is held responsible.
The Hirer shall leave the premises clean and tidy, and take all rubbish away. Charges will be made for any extra cleaning which becomes necessary owing to failure to observe this Condition. The Hirer will provide their own rubbish bags and tea towels, etc.
The deposit of £50 paid under Condition 3 shall be returnable by the Parochial Church Council in whole or part within ten days of the event.
No posters, notices or decorations shall be put up in the Hall, using pins, sticky tape or BluTack. Any Hirer in breach of this condition shall be liable for the cost of redecoration of the wall(s).
The use of ‘Bouncy Castles’ at children’s parties is not allowed.
If the amount of damage caused to the Church Hall, or extra cleaning notified to the Hirer under conditions 6, 7 and 9, shall exceed the amount of the deposit, the excess shall be paid by the Hirer within ten days of being notified of the amount due.
The premises are let for private functions only and are not licensed for music and dancing or the sale of alcoholic drinks when the general public are charged admission on the door.
If you are employing an entertainer who uses electrical equipment, please confirm that this equipment is PAT tested and that they have adequate insurance in case of fire, etc.
The interior of the Church Hall is STRICTLY NO SMOKING
All evening functions shall end by 10.30 p.m. and the premises shall be vacated by the Hirer, after cleaning, by no later than 11.00 p.m.
The Hirer is asked to remember that the Hall is situated within a residential area: considerate parking is requested and noise should be kept to an acceptable level.
